Creation of The "Pad Pouch"

I spent part of my Monday morning designing and creating the layout for the "Pad Pouch".  The inspiration behind this came from my daughter who informed me that a pretty carrier for the IPad and IPad 2 needs to be developed.  That statement made my brain work overtime.   I began asking questions to a number of ladies who have the IPad technology...what they would love in a protective carrier if they could have some say into it's design.

1.  One didn't want there to be a zipper as she did not want her IPad to get scratched
2.  Another offered the tip of having a pocket or pouch where she could house her charger and styles.
3.  Many stated they would love for it to be pretty.
4.  Keep it simple

So I went to work with this advice in mind and came up with the "Pad Pouch".   Tuesday evening I put the finishing touches on the first "Pad Pouch"...Again made with re-purposed materials....2 dresses and one skirt!

Now I am off to test out the design to get feed back.  I may need to make a few minor adjustments...When it is well received, I will be putting this design into production!

"Monique" and "Claire" DH Dream Design Bags Created Today

Today was a glorious day spent in my Dream Design studio creating two beautiful new bags for my growing collection. 

What makes my bags unique?  They are Divinely Inspired using re-purposed materials.  My mind goes wild with creative ideas when I see a dress or skirt with lots of fabric.  All my mind can think is...that would make a great bag!   The bag develops based on the inspiration of the individual item.  They are one of a kind, unique, and when I am finished with the creative process...they are totally loved.   Let me show you what I began with today...and then check out the finished product!

Monique is made from both the dress and the skirt.   The polka dot skirt serves as Monique's lining within the bag and the strap.   

Claire is made from the skirt only.

Monique and Claire happen to be made from the same design but as you can see Monique has more of a polished personality while Claire has more of a flirty fun personality.

The Joy Of An Expandable Belt!

Belts....I love this fashion accessory!   Often women don't feel like they can "pull off" wearing belts.  When a belt is worn in the proper place...it can give ALL body types "positive" waist definition. 

Expandable belts are amazing to work with as you can wear them on your waist, umpire style, or low on the hip...all with the adjustment of the belt length. I love their versatility!  This belt option is also great for the fuller figured woman who has trouble finding stylish belts that are long enough to wrap around her middle.

Many stores are now carrying expandable belts....stores to try....Chico's, Fashion Bug, and Cato's just to name a few.   Be on the look out for this accessory and snatch it up for yourself when you locate a good find.

Foundation Comes First

I have found that no matter what your body type a body "slimmer" can be a great piece to incorporate into your wardrobe so your finished fashion forward look can be it's most polished.

Personally, I love Target's Hanes Women's Firm Control Torset Top as it gives your "girls" a boost of support instead of making them flat!  I show and tell this piece of advice at my Body Type Dressing workshops and have gotten some rave reviews from many women after they have incorporated this fashion accessory into their closet.
